Today we have a phenomenal woman of God sharing a post on being changed in Christ. She is bold an unafraid of using her voice to share Gods word
Heyđđźđ. My name is Keziah Wangui. I enjoy exploring various hobbies from crafts to traveling. Currently venturing into design. Also, a Christian blogger, I share God's Word and what He has been teaching me. Find me @_changed_in_christ on instagram and https://changedinchrist.wordpress.com
In the past, when I would say that I was starting afresh it looked more like âhistory repeating itself.â That when another chapter began, it was just the same old story packaged differently. One day, the question âWhat if the reason the storyline is similar each time is because I had never exactly had a âfresh startâ?â God began to point out things in my life, I was still holding on to sin; unhealthy thoughts, old lifestyle (wrong motives, toxic relationships) just to please others as I was still seeking God. It reached a point, I had to choose whom I would serve. It was either living a sinful life or living for Jesus. It was either please God or please others. There is no in-between. There are repercussions for both, one road leads to eternal life and the other leads to death/destruction.
That hit home. I chose Jesus because in Him, He began to renew my mindset, change my heart. It has been a journey of God renewing me, molding me. The change in me has been happening IN CHRIST.
Every time, I ponder on this topic, I am reminded of the verse 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].
2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP
When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour by faith, He begins to renew you. This promise is for anyone when they accept. You now live for Jesus who gives new meaning to your life. It is through Christ that we are reconciled to God. In Him, we receive forgiveness. There is a part for you to play, draw near to Him, surrender your all; desires, plans, yourself, you name it. Allow His Spirit to work in your life. Daily choose to walk a life depended on God. He desires you to experience His love, His grace.
I have come to learn that we humans aren't perfect, even when you struggle with sin, keep going back to God. Run to God. Keep seeking Him. Keep speaking His Word over your life.
I don't know what season you are in your life at this time but my prayer and hope is that God's Word may refresh/renew you. You may be going through a difficult season but find hope in Christ. Invite God into your situation. Call on Him today. I shall conclude with the words from the song: "Run to the Father by Cody Carnes".
You saw my condition
Had a plan from the start
Your Son for redemption
The price for my heart
And I don't have a context
For that kind of love
âŚ
My heart has been in Your sights
Long before my first breath
Running into Your arms
Is running to life from death
And I feel this rush deep in my chest
Your mercy is calling out
Just as I am You pull me in
And I know I need You now
Run to the Father. Be blessed.
