HOW TO BE A GOOD STEWARD.

Hey ladies,

Today’s blog post will focus on stewardship and being good stewards. We are called by God to be good stewards. But what does it mean to be a good steward?

This can be found through the definition of the word steward which is to take care of. Therefore good stewardship would simply be us doing and taking care of what God has decided to give us.

This is well illustrated through the story of the talents, (MATTHEW 25:14-30) we see three men given three different values of talents. They are each given talents of different measure (Matthew 25:15)God has not given us all the same gifts, some of us prophesy, some us have wisdom. Therefore like Paul said, just like a body we must work together to advance the kingdom by stewarding what we have. (1st Corinthians 12: 4-11)

So in this day and age, how can we exercise good stewardship?

Start saving early and practicing good money habits. Look out for sales and discounts; also use loyalty points to get some extra benefits.

Use the resources you have at your disposal- It may seem inevitable to start up something, but I urge you to step out in faith and do it.

Serve- Serving has always been one of the best ways to steward your gift. Play at your local church, volunteer, do all things in service to grow in stewardship.

Knowledge- Read up on any industry or side hustle you are interested in. Gain all the knowledge and information that you can on your hustle.

Think of innovative ways to make money- what strikes me most about the proverbs 31 woman, is that she is able to have multiple streams of income. It is getting harder for us to live on one income so think of ways to diversify your income sources.

Present your plans to the Holy Spirit-Did you know that God genuinely wants you to be wealthy and enjoy the world? He wants you to live well, but you have to work. Present your plans and ideas to God and allow Him to mound and shape you in the right direction

What other ways can you be a faithful steward?
